My old pal Mike England at Rockland Resources (CSE: RKL) has announced an agreement with Evolution Mining to expand the Pipestone Bay project in Red Lake. Rockland can earn up to a 70% interest through CAD $11.5 million in exploration spending, plus share payments.
Evolution trades on Australia’s ASX under EVN and has a market cap of approximately AUD $26.6 billion as of October 2, 2026.
Mike is always busy, but after recently selling Golden Lake Exploration to McEwen, he should have a little more time for Rockland.
Ewan Downie is an adviser to Rockland, and that’s extremely positive for such a small company.
Ewan is a legend, with an impressive record of gold discovery, including more than two decades in Red Lake.
In my view, this transaction changes the game for RKL, but it’s going to require a lot of cash. It should be very exciting.
It was a busy Friday afternoon.
Our friends at Advanced Gold Exploration (CSE: AUEX) announced a proposed acquisition of the Corcoran Canyon and Belmont silver and gold properties in Nevada.
The announcement cites a historical inferred resource of approximately 39 million ounces of silver equivalent, which remains subject to verification and is not being treated as a current resource.
AUEX has been making some interesting moves lately.
It’s another microcap, like Searchlight and Rockland. I’m a sucker for these things.
Leave us your email and Nichole will let you know when private placements become available for these companies.
